This is the third Jump training program I have gotten around to reviewing. After having great results with the Jump Manual and seeing the results others had with power vertical. I decided that I would continue to do others in the same position as myself the benefit of reviewing other popular training programs so you can be sure you get the best program for the money. And one that fits your goals and needs.

The Quality of Information

So… VertFreak 101. It is a new program put out by Adam Linkenauger who not only has an amazing vertical leap himself but also holds some records to prove it. He is a 7 time ACC high jump champion. It goes to show that this man at least knows how to jump, but can he teach others is what it all boils down to.

The program offers excellent advice on warming up, cooling down, stretching, squatting, core work, in-season training, plyometrics, and jumping technique. One of the sections that raised a flag was the nutrition. In vertfreak 101 Adam suggest something called intermittent fasting. Or IF for short. While I had never seen this before it seemed like an interesting concept. However throughout my research I have only found that IF is mainly documented when used to lose weight. I was unable to find much information on it from a performance enhancement view.

I am currently testing the IF nutrition plan on myself and several other volunteers to see if it makes a substantial difference in the results gained from the vertfreak program. However I am fairly certain that failure to follow the nutrition guidelines would not have a substantially detrimental impact on your results seeing as how the rest of the content in the software is very solid.

Flexability/ Customization

The program comes with three levels of workouts, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. These levels also offer distinct variations depending on your strength. There are a number of tests that will place you in your proper category. These basic levels have over 300 variations of your 12 week program so as soon as you finish it once the program will adapt to your improvements and you can jump back in and go through again and expect similar gains.

The one on one coaching offered by Adam also allows for more customization of your workouts. He makes himself and his team available to help you with any questions and they can really help dial in your workouts depending on your body type, and current athleticism.

Presentation

The Vertfreak program is being marketed as software but im not sure that is completely true. It’s more accurately an interactive e-book. It is a digital product that you get access to as soon as you purchase however the book has an interactive menu system that simplifies finding the information you want and also on most pages and for every workout there is a link to a video that explains how to do the exercise correctly. This is a huge part of the course that I really liked. For those visual learners this will be a huge benefit and also for those that are novice athletes and may not know as much about weight lifting and safety. I see this going a long way in preventing injuries while training.

Everything in the manual is laid out clearly and is very easy to understand. The eBook flows in a logical manner and takes you through your first 12 week program from start to finish very easily.

Conclusion

I personally think that vertfreak is an excellent program. Adam has an excellent product and I really enjoyed his positive outlook on helping others reach their goals. An excellent product with amazing support and backing means that you will most likely be thrilled with your results. With the one on one coaching you are already fast tracked to success and you can always get any help you need. There is plenty of information in the product and that makes it a one time purchase. You won’t ever need anything else to improve your vertical jump. All these things considered I give vertfreak 101 a high recommendation. Check it out here.
